INFORMATION 2025.04.14 Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development Concludes Collaborative Agreement with the University of Osaka

Promotion of collaboration in fields including health, sports, and medical care in the Banpaku-kinen-koen Station-front district

Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development, Inc. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kenji Morita) and The University of Osaka (Location: Suita, Osaka Prefecture; President: Atsushi Kumanogoh) signed a collaborative agreement on March 11, 2025 for the purpose of creating innovation through the utilization of the university's research findings. Under the agreement, the parties will engage in close collaboration and cooperation in the Banpaku-kinen-koen Station-front district, making use of both parties' human and intellectual resources.

Purpose of the collaborative agreement

Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development has been selected as a scheduled corporate participant in the Banpaku-kinen-koen Station-Front District Revitalization Project (*1) of the government of Osaka Prefecture. The company is undertaking initiatives aimed at realizing the "creation of a new sports and culture hub representing Osaka and Kansai, centered on a large-scale arena."

Through the collaboration, The University of Osaka will promote a "new sports and cultural exchange hub" and "collaboration in fields including health and medical care" in the Osaka Hokusetsu area by working toward social implementation of the outcomes of its educational and research activities in fields including health and sports.

Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development and The University of Osaka will work to verify specific initiatives aimed at realizing a well-being-oriented society under themes including "health and sports" and "health and medical care."
