Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development Co., Ltd., serving as a member of the Ultra-Multiverse Executive Committee together with STYLY, Inc., Lawson Entertainment, Inc., and Mitsubishi Corporation, will hold the urban touring AR action experience "Emergency Directive! Ultra-Multiverse Operation Earth Defense at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse" in the Yokohama area centered on Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, for an approximately half-year period from June 5 (Friday) to November 30 (Monday), 2026.
This entertainment uses technology to fuse the real-world city with the story's narrative, based on a complete original scenario drawn from the Ultraman series.
1.A new immersive experience created from the city, the story, and technology
Going beyond visual effects alone, this event unleashes immersive AR that makes the city of Yokohama itself the stage. Shedding the role of mere bystanders, participants tackle missions as key characters supporting Ultraman.
2.Historic heroes from the 60 years of the Ultraman series come together in Yokohama
In this milestone 60th anniversary year of the Ultraman series, heroes and monsters from across the series' history will descend on Yokohama's port in larger-than-life appearances.
3.A wholly original scenario
A completely new story unfolds, written exclusively for the project. The thrilling production will have long-time fans cheering while the story experience instantly draws even first-time viewers into its world.
Taking on the roles of investigators in the Science Special Search Party (SSSP), participants receive an experience kit at the SSSP Yokohama Branch (special booth) at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. Upon activating the state-of-the-art Ultra Scanner* tool demanded by the mission, the experience begins.
From a distortion in time and space appearing in the sky over Yokohama, city streets transform into danger zones in which threats from another dimension lurk! As a new investigator in the SSSP Yokohama Branch, you are tasked with the urgent mission of rescuing Yokohama from crisis and restoring peace.
You will pass through indicated spots as you uncover monster tracks, shadows, and other clues appearing around Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, complete tasks that arise at key points while identifying the cause of the monsterappearances, and support the Ultra Heroes.
The experience is designed to be enjoyed by anyone with a smartphone; no knowledge of AR is needed. Through easily-learned controls, even a child can complete every mission. What kind of Ultra Heroes and monsters will you encounter as you traverse the streets of Yokohama? What resolution awaits at the end of this breathless, exciting adventure!?

In the field of urban tourism and urban development, recent years have seen a rapid growth in demand for experiential content that brings new value to physical spaces. Within this field, immersive location-based entertainment (LBE), offering experiences available only at specific locations, is capturing the attention of landowners and urban developers in Japan and overseas as a means of enhancing visitors' dwell time and repeat visit rate.
Faced with this market demand, the Ultra-Multiverse Executive Committee was established to demonstrate a new box office model that combines the strengths of its constituent companies.
Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development Co., Ltd., which has a subsidiary that operates Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse; STYLY Inc., provider of the STYLY Spatial Layer Platform; Lawson Entertainment, Inc., a player in the ticket sales business; and Mitsubishi Corporation are planning and producing the event as a new-form urban experience, made possible for the first time through this synergy of the four companies' respective unique assets.
The event's design enables an XR experience with just a smartphone and no specialized expertise, presenting new possibilities for urban development and tourism promotion in the form of a model for popularizing next-generation urban entertainment that fuses the real with the digital.
Drawing on knowledge gained through the project, the companies plan to accelerate the implementation of urban touring and city planning that enable immersion in stories throughout the cityscape, with a view toward expansion to other cities and regions and toward collaborations with diverse IP content holders.
