City of Yashio in Saitama Prefecture and Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development conclude partnership agreement concerning "Northern Yashio Hub Urban Development Promotion District Project"

Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development, Inc. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kenji Morita) announces that it has been selected as a corporate partner in a project to develop the Northern Yashio Hub Urban Development Promotion District in Saitama Prefecture and concluded a partnership agreement with the municipal government of Yashio on March 31, 2025.

About the partnership agreement

The area around the Higashi-Saitama Road and the Tokyo Gaikan Expressway in the northern area of Yashio is positioned as a northern hub forming a regional core in high-level plans that include the 5th Yashio Municipality Comprehensive Plan. These plans seek to form an industrial hub through the introduction of retail facilities, logistics business facilities, and manufacturing facilities, while engaging in wide-area collaboration and functional enhancements including the development of the Gaikan Yashio Parking Area (tentative name) and the Gaikan Yashio Smart Interchange (tentative name) that leverage excellent transportation access, and the aggregation of regional promotion facilities such as "Michi no Eki" roadside stations.

Through the conclusion of this agreement, Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development, Inc. seeks to form an "industrial base that is rich in greenery and takes into account lifestyle and educational environments." Based on the approaches of plans including the Northern Yashio Hub Urban Development Promotion District Plan and the Northern Yashio Hub Urban Development Promotion District Basic Plan, the company will engage in the formulation of development plans that connect to consideration for the surrounding environment and the enhancement of regional value, and will engage in the implementation of individual development projects.
