PRESS RELEASE 2024.11.01 Notice Concerning the Completion of Construction of MCUD Komaki

Completion of Multi-Tenant Logistics Facility as Second Building in the Chubu/Komaki Area

Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development, Inc. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kenji Morita) and Invesco Global Real Estate Asia Pacific, Inc. (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative in Japan: Yasuyuki Tsuji) announce that the construction of MCUD Komaki, a logistics facility jointly planned and developed by the companies in Fumitsu in the city of Komaki, Aichi Prefecture, was completed on October 31, 2024.

MCUD Komaki

Following the construction of MCUD Komaki-Kita (*1) in the Chubu/Komaki area, where demand is growing for hubs connecting the Kanto and Kansai regions to address Japan's "2024 problem" restricting overtime work for truck drivers, MCUD Komaki was completed as the second structure in the MCUD LOGISTICS series. Going beyond the need for a hub, this multi-tenant logistics facility takes the Komaki Junction as its base to enable particularly convenient delivery to the Nagoya, Tokai, and Hokuriku areas.

(*1) The first structure, MCUD Komaki-Kita, was completed in April 2024 and is fully operational.

A convenient location as a hub for long-distance transport

Located near Komaki Interchange, the starting and ending point of the Meishin Expressway and Tomei Expressway, MCUD Komaki meets the need for a wide-area distribution base servicing the Kanto and Kansai regions, making it a vital core hub for the Chubu area. Its location is also advantageous for drayage to and from the Port of Nagoya, located about 30 km away.

The site's accessibility by foot or bicycle from Ajioka Station on the Meitetsu Komaki Line further creates an advantage in workforce attraction.

Facility features

The facility can be divided and leased by up to three tenants (minimum space: 10,040.76 m2) and features spacious pillar spans and truck berths. Its industrial location allows around-the-clock operation and adaption to any type of logistics, including transit, inventory, or cross-docking.

Making maximum use of the long-held logistics facilities development and operations know-how and the information capabilities of the Mitsubishi Corporation Group, Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development will continue to engage in development and operations that provide superior logistics facilities tailored to the needs of tenants and investors.
